FOUNDER

Carley Mostar

Carley Mostar is the Founder and Principal Narrative Strategist of Tandem Narratives. With a unique blend of creativity and strategic acumen, informed by her BFA in studio arts and MBA in social value creation, Carley brings a multifaceted approach to narrative change.

Her expertise spans equity in education, gender and racial justice, community development, and sustainable economic practices. Carley’s career includes pivotal roles such as Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications for a Pivotal Ventures-backed gender equity initiative and Marketing Strategist at SecondMuse, where she led communications on racial equity in finance and regenerative food systems.

As an independent nonfiction video producer for over a decade, Carley’s work has graced major networks like PBS and the Oprah Winfrey Network, championing pro-social causes for clients ranging from Hallmark to grassroots organizations. Her impressive portfolio extends to managing communications projects for influential entities such as the Rockefeller Foundation and Gates Foundation.

At Tandem Narratives, Carley continues to pioneer innovative storytelling strategies, making her an invaluable partner for organizations seeking to transform their narratives into powerful catalysts for change. Her human-centered, collaborative approach consistently turns missions into movements, redefining the landscape of strategic communication.

Carley is trained in Human-Centered Systems Thinking and has a BFA in Studio Arts from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA in Social Value Creation from the University of Illinois Chicago.
